Even our littlest ones have a space to learn simple Bible truths through songs, crafts, prayer, and play. This fun-filled program runs separately from the older kids and is led by caring volunteers.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH (Grade 1 – 7)

On Sundays, we begin in the main service for worship, then head to our own space for teaching, prayer, memory verses, and age-appropriate classes with crafts, games, and discussions. Our aim: to show children how to live for Christ by loving and applying God’s Word.

Lance Olver

John Piper once said the two biggest dangers for Christians are worldliness and self-reliance—and men often fall hard into both. Whether it’s at work, in marriage, or with family, the pressure to provide and appear strong can lead many men to carry burdens alone and hide their struggles behind pride or shame.

But God never intended for men to walk alone.

Like Joshua, who faced overwhelming odds but trusted in God’s promises, we are called to be strong and courageous—not because we have all the answers, but because God is with us (Joshua 1:9).

Too many Christian men live in quiet defeat, stuck in compromise. But Jesus offers us a better way—one of truth, righteousness, and brotherhood. That’s why men need a space where they can drop the mask, be real, and fight the real battles together.

About WBC Frontline Men’s Ministry

Rooted in Ephesians 6:12–18, this ministry exists to strengthen the hearts, minds, and spirits of men—helping them stand firm in faith and live out their calling, following the example of Christ.

Going through separation or divorce is one of life’s most painful experiences—but you don’t have to walk it alone. DivorceCare is a safe, welcoming support group where caring people come alongside you as you navigate the difficult road of healing.

Each weekly session includes practical teaching, group discussion, and encouragement from others who understand. Whether you’re newly separated or have been divorced for years, this course offers tools to help you recover and rebuild—with God’s comfort and grace at the centre.

Keep an eye on our Events page to find out when the next course will be starting.

There is hope and healing after divorce—and it starts with taking the first step.

The Golden Girls is a  ministry to widows.

We meet once a month, on the second Wednesday at 10am in the upstairs Church hall.  We have fellowship and Praise & Prayer and enjoy one another’s company.  Tea  and coffee is always served.  We would love to welcome ladies to our meetings.

Our goal as the Worship Ministry is to point people to Jesus and create space for the church to respond. We aim to involve all generations—especially children and youth—in vibrant, God-focused worship. It’s been a joy to include kids in worship, particularly during quarterly family services and our energetic Holiday Club.

Want to Join the Team?

We’d love to chat with you! Musicians and singers go through an audition and brief interview. Tech team members are also vital and can be trained in sound, visuals, and broadcasting. We use WhatsApp, Planning Center, and Music Stand to stay organised. The team is a space to grow in skill and Christlikeness.

Eileen Olver

Hidden Treasure Waterglen is a charity shop located at the Waterglen Centre in Garstfontein Road, Waterkloof Glen, that was started in 2017 as a joint venture between Waterkloof and Central Baptist churches. We receive donations of pre-loved goods from the public, and the profits from the sale of these goods go to support two charities: Bethesda Children’s Village at Hammanskraal  and the Good Samaritan Fund at the Glenhaven Retirement Centre . We depend on the help of volunteers to run our store.

If you would like to donate to Hidden Treasure Waterglen, or volunteer in our store, please contact Eileen on 083-400-2828 or leeniejay@gmail.com

About the Overseer

Eileen Olver has been involved with Hidden Treasure Waterglen since its opening in August 2017, initially as manager, and then as overseer. She is passionate about this ministry, not only because of the joy it brings to those who shop there, but also because of the spiritual impact it has on its customers and on the community.

WBC’s fledgling coffee ministry aims to create a space where people can gather after church to enjoy fellowship, whilst also enjoying a really good cup of coffee.

Whether you have any barista experience or not, we encourage you to join the coffee team, as there are regular training sessions throughout the year. If you love coffee, we’d love to have you on our team, connecting with people while you serve them some liquid happiness.

OUR CORE VALUES

At Waterkloof Baptist Church we recognise that, whilst we are all individuals, each with our own particular focus and uniqueness, there are certain core values that give our church its particular character. These core values are non – negotiable principles that reflect our absolute beliefs and standards and provide inspiration and direction (under God’s guidance) for our Church. Furthermore, the core values act as a filter for our thoughts, bridge the gaps and diversity in our thinking and will form the foundation for our decisions that unify our efforts and define our actions.

PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY

At Waterkloof Baptist Church we believe that God has called us into being for a threefold purpose:
